About Utah Refugee Goats
Utah Refugee Goats (URG) owns and manages a goat herd to empower the refugee communities of Utah. We focus on the Somali Bajuni, Somali Bantu and Burundi refugee communities, among the most persecuted refugee groups in the world.

Utah Refugee Goats is focusing on these following goals.
- Run the goat operations in self sustained way within a year.
- Meet the consumable goat meat requirement of the refugee community.
- Provide scholarship funding to the 3 refugee communities students & train them in running a business.
- Provide funding to support women in need of assistance in those 3 communities.
Utah Refugee Goats mission is to bring the refugee communities together and cherish their cultural connections with goats. It provides education to younger generations on running a business and scholarships and support to the needy.

Utah Refugee Goats is looking to expand the operations to include ideas like sustained weed abatement to manage weed without harmful pesticides, connecting with local communities engaged in activities like Goat Yoga, and providing sustained sourcing of meat to other communities and restaurants.
